Anatole Lorne

I turned towards dance after having studied at the École Normale Supérieure of Paris and completed a thesis in geophysics at the Institut de Physique du Globe. After some time spent waltzing from tango to expertise in natural risks in humanitarian work, a severa accident pushed me to consider a change of career. This was a turning point in the relationship to my body and my was of learning, shifting from theory to experiment.

After a training with the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d'Angers, I became a professional dancer. I am currently collaborating as a choreographer with the company La Fabrique Fastidieuse for the play Vendredi.

I offer trainings centered around the body in numerous pedagogical frames of reference. Somatic techniques greatly influence my approach to touch. Aikido, meditation and massage are some of my resources.

Being together plays a growing role in my approach.

"On a skiff I meet an honoured guest,
Slowly, slowly, it comes across the lake.
Facing at the railing, we drink a cup of wine,
On all sides, lotus flowers are in bloom."
